Ah, Valentine's Day.

Jane loves a holiday she can pay genuine lip-service to... where she can start speaking in tongues and possibly get her teeth into it as well. There's nothing like settling in down in front of an open fire and roasting something. Possibly someone. And forget your rom-coms, Jane prefers some prom-queen screams and present killers as much as killer presents.

It's been a while since the last update, but here at Jane Doe Horror Central hope to get more regular in that department and supply you with a mix of classic chills and more modern thrills.

Now, if you'll excuse me - this ghoul's gotta have fun. Now, where's my favourite minion..?

SANTA CLAWS...

You better not shout, you better not cry, you better not whimper like some cliche - and I'm telling you why... c'mon ladies... sisters/ cheerleaders/ vampires/ nuns with bad habits/ spooks/ghouls and dolls are doing it for themselves.

Jane has been a bit busy over the last few months (saving the universe, triumphing over venegeful gods, that shoe sale...) but while this JDH front-page hasn't changed much, we HAVE been adding many reviews on the different genre pages and will be doing a lot more in the weeks and months to come.

But it IS the festive season and though we're too busy working to be away in a manger, we will be taking time to raise a glass to horror fans, like yourself, across the world. So, may 2009 be a bumper year for things that go bump in the night, may well get our fair share of mystery and mistletoe and if dire-moans ARE a girl's best friend, then may we be all be given a real sparkler.

Jane Doe Gets X-rated...

Welcome to Jane Doe Horror, where we'll review the past, current and, hey, maybe even future horror and suspense outings that should be on your radar. Vampires, werewolves, serial-killers, thrillers, sci-fi... in one way or another we've got them all here - but safely under lock and key!

Check out the genres in the menu bar above to look for the types of movies we're reviewing. There' some good, some bad and DEFINITELY some uglies. We're celebrating both the cheese and the talent. So if you like your thrillers with a good dose of humour as well as blood, you've come to the right place.

We're hoping to continually build and expand in the months to come, with the Does bringing you their points of view, wit and wrath in equal measure. But the emphasis will be always on fun and just proving that women can enjoy cinema too!

Let's get things started and to celebrate our revamp (ahem!), we're speaking to the man who made us believe that 'The Truth is out there...' and who also makes us believe that Californication is just a natural state of mind. The X-Files has just returned to the big screen and so it seemed an appropriate time to get 'Spooky' in front of the microphone.
